Climbing the WQ Scale

for everyone
My nephew rushed into the living room the other day, frantically looking for a camera.  He was told that there was an eagle on the street.  Not just flying around, but literally, on the street.

No way was I going to pass up the chance to see an eagle.

So, armed with my trusty Sony, Jose and I made our way up the street as stealthily as we could.  Sure enough, he was there, standing imperiously on the corner, looking like he owned everything.  It was an awesome sight.  When we moved closer, he had already turned his back on us, but his wings were still sort of spread out.  See:

He's almost as big as a tire!

I wish we could have come closer, but we were scared.  :(  I mean, what if he got into a rage and flew at us with claws ready?  So we watched from a pretty safe distance.  After we took pictures, we went inside to report to Mom... when I went out again, he was gone :(  But it was so great that we saw him.  And there was a smaller eagle-like bird perched on the tree right above this guy, too!

One of the perks of living in Palo Alto... :)

Pao - Eh? You've made friends with James Franco! Pantay lang tayo :P

Javier - Now you know why I was in such a rush :D Beautiful noh? Next time one flies above me, I'll try to take a picture. You should see an eagle in flight... awesome! Sige na nga, I admit... birds are cool :D (but rodents are still cooler! hehehehe)

Bing - Thanks thanks :) And yes, very detailed paranoia. My nephew probably has it too (we both didn't want to come too close). It's hereditary? Haha :)
